Description
As the Dynamic Purchasing System list of consultants has now been created after the completion of the initial stage, new bidders will be able to submit SPD (Scotland) responses on an ongoing basis, as the List of Consultants remains open throughout the duration of the DPS’s existence. Lot 4: Conservation Architects (for listed buildings) The services may encompass a range of Conservation Architect services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: brief development including options appraisals design services for listed buildings inspection and assessment of listed and traditional buildings surveys and investigations of listed and traditional buildings interpretation and reporting on listed and traditional buildings preparation of tender and contract documentation for works on listed and traditional buildings works supervision on works for listed and traditional buildings contract administration of works on listed and traditional buildings post contract inspection of listed and traditional buildings general advice on listed and traditional buildings supplement council resources Please note consultants on this lot need to be part of the RIAS (Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland) Conservation Accreditation or RIBA equivalent. Lot 5: Ecological Surveyors The services may encompass a range of Ecological services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: ecology surveys and investigations interpretation and reporting preparation of specialist licence applications works supervision and monitoring expert witness general advice Please note consultants qualified on this lot require membership of a Professional body such as Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management or equivalent. Lot 6: Geotechnical Engineers The services may encompass a range of Geotechnical Engineering services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: brief development design services inspection and assessment surveys and investigations procuring and monitoring testing interpretation and reporting preparation of tender and contract documentation works supervision contract administration post contract inspection general advice Please note consultants qualified on this lot require membership with the Scottish Ground engineering group, British Geotechnical Association or Institution of Civil Engineers. Lot 7: Commercial Kitchen Designers The services may encompass a range of Commercial Kitchen Design services to new and existing buildings, which may include, but are not limited to: brief development design services inspection and assessment surveys and investigations preparation of tender and contract documentation works supervision contract administration compliance and Health and Safety advice Lot 8: Landscape Architects The services may encompass a range of Landscape Architecture services to public realm areas around buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: brief development including options appraisals design services including master planning and planning advice business case development and evaluation inspection and impact assessment surveys and investigations procuring and monitoring testing interpretation and reporting preparation of tender and contract documentation works supervision contract administration post contract inspection specialist play/ sports design services local community engagement general advice Please note consultants qualified on this lot require to be a member of the Landscape Institute. Lot 9: Mechanical & Electrical Engineers The services may encompass a range of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: brief development design services inspection and assessment surveys and investigations procuring and monitoring testing in relation to legionella interpretation and reporting preparation of tender and contract documentation works supervision contract administration post contract inspection Principal designer Specialist legionella advice general advice Please note consultants qualified on this lot need to have a membership with Institution of engineers in Scotland (IES), respectively Institution of Mechanical Engineers and Institution of Engineering and Technology ( IET). Electrical Engineers are expected to be CIBSE accredited. Lot 10: Quantity Surveying The services may encompass a range of Quantity Surveying services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: cost consultancy feasibility provision of life cycle costing and benchmarking information billing preparation of contract documents valuations valuation and agreement of variations interim cost reporting measurement and remeasurement agreement of final accounts assessment and agreement of contractors claims supplement council resources and assistance at public local inquiry Please note consultants on this lot need to be a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Lot 11: Rot.Preservation Works Surveyors The services may encompass a range of Rot/ Preservation survey services to buildings which may include, but are not limited to: dry rot, wet rot penetrating and rising dampness wood-boring infestation Please note consultants on this lot need to be a member of RICS, the Property Care Association or equivalent. Lot 12: Structural Engineers The services may encompass a range of Structural Engineering services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: brief development design services including provision of SER Certification inspection and assessment surveys and investigations procuring and monitoring testing interpretation and reporting preparation of tender and contract documentation works supervision contract administration post contract inspection general advice Please note consultants on this lot need to be a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers. Lot 13: Topographical Surveyors The services may encompass a range of Topographical surveying services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: Topographical surveys 3D laser scanning GPS techniques Measured building surveys Building elevation surveys Road surveys Levelling 3D data visualisation to interface with Revit Setting out CCTV surveys Settlement monitoring Ground investigation location surveys Stock pile surveys Volume calculations Please note consultants on this lot need to be a member of RICS. Lot 14: CDM Advisors The services may encompass a range of CDM Advisory Services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: designer and Principal Designer audits Client brief on CDM Obligations health and safety document management preparing and submitting notifications of construction projects to HSE site safety inspections and audits CDM briefings to contractors producing or reviewing construction plans assisting method statement and risk assessment productions assisting risk assessments and method statements reviews and reviewing contractor operations and maintenance manuals Please note consultants on this lot need to be a member of the The Institution of Construction Safety (ICS), The Association for Project Safety (APS) or equivalent. Lot 15: Acoustic Engineers The services may encompass a range of Acoustic Engineering services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: surveys and investigations design services including specifications pre-contract inspection and testing post contract inspection and testing general advice Please note consultants on this lot need to be a member of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA). Lot 16: Renewable Energy and Low Carbon Heating Systems Engineers The services may encompass a range of Renewable Energy and Low Carbon Heating Systems Engineering services to buildings, which may include, but are not limited to: brief development design services inspection and assessment surveys and investigations procuring and monitoring testing interpretation and reporting preparation of tender and contract documentation works supervision contract administration post contract inspection general advice Please note consultants on this lot have to be a Solar Energy UK Member, Constructionline, Safe Contractor, CHAS (or equivalent) Member, MCS Certified, ISO 9001 Certified, ISO 14001 Certified, Renewable Energy Consumer Code Member. Lot 17: Building Surveyors The services may encompass a range of Building Surveying services to buildings, which may include, but are not limited to: brief development design services inspection and assessment including building, structural and condition surveys procuring and monitoring testing interpretation and reporting preparation of tender and contract documentation works supervision contract administration post contract inspection general advice Please note consultants on this lot need to be a member of Royal Institution of chartered Surveyors (RICS). Lot 18: Conservation. Traditional Building Surveyors The services may encompass a range of Conservation/ Traditional Building Surveying services to buildings, which may include, but are not limited to: inspection and assessment of traditional buildings in relation to stonework, leadwork, traditional windows and doors, roofing etc; specialist advice on treatments, repairs etc procuring and monitoring testing for traditional buildings interpretation and reporting for traditional buildings preparation of tender and contract documentation for traditional building repairs works supervision for traditional building repairs contract administration for projects relating to traditional building repairs post contract inspection of traditional building repairs general advice for conservation and traditional building repairs Please note consultants qualified on this lot need to have RICS: Building Conservation Accreditation. Lot 1: Architects The services may encompass a range of Architectural Services on buildings and their adjacent grounds excluding conservational architectural services. The services may include, but are not limited to: brief development including options appraisals design services inspection and assessment interpretation and reporting preparation of tender and contract documentation works supervision certification post contract inspection supplement council resources general advice Please note consultants qualified on this lot need to be on the Architects Registration Board List (RAB). Lot 2: Civil Engineers The services may encompass a range of Civil and Structural Engineering Services to buildings and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: brief development including options appraisals design services inspection and assessment surveys and investigations procurement of monitoring testing interpretation and reporting preparation of tender and contract documentation works supervision contract administration post contract inspection general advice supplement council resources Please note consultants qualified on this lot need to be part of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Scotland. Lot 3: Clerk of Works The services may encompass a range of Clerk of Works Services. The services may encompass a range of civil and structural engineering services to building fabric and adjacent grounds, which may include, but are not limited to: record and monitor progress on the general building works and specialist MEP provide regular reporting to include a diary of events with relevant observations and a record of inspections witness testing interpretation and reporting on works regular supervision of works liaise with other specialist inspectors where required post contract inspection expert witness. Evidence of membership of a Professional body is required such as the Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI) or equivalent.
