Joinery Works at Leeds Central Library

Description

The project is to carry out repair and refurbishment works to create community hub space within the Grade II* listed Leeds Central Library building as described in the tender documentation. • To manufacture& supply & fix bi-spoke fire doors to FF offices, all as specifications, drawings, and schedule of works. • This scheme is not a full building refurbishment, the refurbishment areas are identified within the tender documents and on the ‘outline scope of works’, ‘plan of first floor plaster repair works’ and ‘site restrictions’ drawings in the appendices. • The Principal Contractor must note that this is a nationally important Grade II* listed public building which will impose additional restrictions on how the works are carried out and the materials that can be used. • The existing central library is to remain in use throughout the duration of the Works so care should be exercised not to cause noise or disruption during opening hours. • The tender documents impose site restrictions to/within the site and for delivery of plant & materials and disposal of waste. o Site access: All site visits to be by prior notice and agreement via porter’s office: Contact Richard Wetherell Tel: 01133787011 Mobile: 07891278711 o For queries on the tender enquiries or schedule of works, please contact Robert Win, LBS Estimator, Tel: 07702675825 or Email:Robert.win@leeds.gov.uk
