Description

The Procurement exercise was to source a single supplier to satisfy Warwickshire County Council's (the Employer) requirements for Highways Maintenance and Improvement provisions. This was a joint procurement including the Employer, Coventry City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. The awarded Highways Maintenance Contract will start on the 5.5.2016 and have an initial seven (7) year term. Following the initial term the option will be available to repeatedly extend the contract to a maximum of 36 months (3 years). Any extension will be dependent on the agreement of the parties involved. The procurement exercise followed a process of Competitive Procedure with Negotiation. The Contracting Authority reserved the right to short-list bidders during negotiation stages and to award the contract based on initial tender submissions without conducting negotiations. As a result, the Authority was able to award the contract based on initial tender submissions. The exercise was a joint procurement involving Warwickshire County, Coventry City and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Councils.
