Drammen municipality intends to enter into a contract for the purchase of therapeutic rocking chairs. The users are older people, often with a dementia diagnose. The objective of the purchase is to use a therapeutic rocking chair as a comforting measure. This may in some cases replace the use of medication as a similar measure. Drammen municipality intends to purchase 11 therapy rocking chairs with associated pillows and special duvets. Functionality requirements: — electrical regulated rocking/cradling, — remote control with progressive regulation of speed, — seat adjustments for each individual user, — moveable, wheels or equivalent, — possibility for playing music. Based on market surveys, the contracting authority does not find any other suppliers. The contract is thus published as a voluntary ex-ante transparency notice in accordance with the PPR § 5-2 (1), letter a. If there are other suppliers of rocking chairs with similar functionality and who can meet the need described, the supplier is asked to contact Drammen municipality via the communication module in Mercell by Friday 28.11.2019 (12:00).
