Contractors should supply and fit of aluminium alloy windows, doors and entrance lobby in accordance with BS4873: 2009 complete with 36mm triple glazed + Argon filled + 2 panes soft coat low E + warm edge spacer for all units specified. The contract drawings show the extent of the work which includes:- 1. Removal and disposal of the existing windows and doors. Supply and fit new aluminium alloy windows and doors as specified, repair and paint of reveals. 2. Construct an aluminium alloy entrance lobby; complete with glazed walls and roof, automatic sliding doors, single manual door with security access panel, concrete floor and finishes. This portion of the project is subject to planning approval and will be commence at a later date once all statutory obligations have been complied with. Contractors should include this phased process in there tender. 3. All work should comply fully with Department of Education and Science Technical Guidance Document 021-1a. Summer Works Scheme Window Replacement Primary & Post Primary Schools 4. The Main Contractor will be appointed as Project Supervisor (Construction Stage) in Health and Safety matters. 5.
