Description

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is committed to ensuring patients deserve a consistent standard of care every time they receive treatment. This includes the provision of a safe and effective environment with minimal risk of equipment failure. It is important that dental equipment is regularly serviced and maintained. This enables a safe working environment for staff and ensures that first-line maintenance tasks are understood and being carried out correctly. The equipment is located at the Prince Charles Hospital (Gurnos Road, Merthyr Tydfil, CF47 9DT), and Royal Glamorgan Hospital (Ynysmaerdy, Llantrisant, CF72 8XR). PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE TWO SPREADSHEETS FOR EACH HOSPITAL. EACH SPREADSHEET CONTAINS TWO TABS FOR TWO DIFFERENT LEVELS OF COVERS; PREVENTATIVE & SEMI-COMPREHENSIVE. IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE QUOTE FOR BOTH LEVELS OF COVER. OPTION 1 - PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE: The contractor shall undertake ONE planned preventative maintenance visit per annum during the contract period. Maintenance shall be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The contract charge will include all costs associated with the travel, mileage and labour required for routine servicing. Call-outs and parts will be chargeable and invoiced for separately. In terms of call-out requests, the on-site response time must be the same day if a request is made before 12.00 noon and the next day for requests made thereafter. OPTION 2 - SEMI-COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE: The contractor shall undertake ONE planned preventative maintenance visit per annum during the contract period. Maintenance shall be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The contract charge will include all costs associated with parts, travel and labour required for routine servicing. Call-out requests from Monday to Friday during normal working hours (9.00am – 5.00pm) shall also be included at no extra cost (this includes the call-out fee, labour, travel and mileage costs). Any other parts will be chargeable, along with call-outs requests outside of normal working hours. Both will be invoiced for separately. In terms of call-out requests, the on-site response time must be the same day if a request is made before 12.00 noon and the next day for requests made thereafter.
