Description

East Lothian Council (the Council) is inviting bids from suitably qualified, competent, capable and experienced contractors who wish to be a preferred contractor on a Fencing Framework. This framework will be ranked involving two separate lots, Metal (lot1) and Timber (lot2) Fencing. Lot 1: Metal Fencing Replacement metal fencing This will involve the removal and disposal of existing fences (not limited to metal fencing) and the preparation, supply and erection of new Metal fencing. Labour and Materials provision is required. Reactive Removal and Disposal and/or Supply and Erection of New Metal Fencing The contractor shall provide a reactive removal and disposal service and/or supply and erection of new metal fencing for properties on an ad-hoc basis. Reactive repair of metal fencing The contractor shall provide a reactive repair service to existing metal fencing for properties on an ad hoc basis. Programmed Removal and Disposal and/or supply and erect new metal fencing. The Contractor will be given a programme of properties where removal and disposal, and/or the supply and erection of new metal fencing are to be undertaken. This programme will be outlined at contract pre-start meetings and on-going programme review meetings. An individual pre-start meeting will be held with East Lothian Council and the Contractor to agree the programme. The Contractor shall agree the programme with ELC detailing the sequence of operations, timescales for commencement and completion. Lot 2: Timber Fencing Replacement wooden fencing This will involve the removal and disposal of existing fences (not limited to timber fencing) and the preparation, supply and erection of new timber fencing. Labour and Materials provision is required. Reactive Removal and Disposal, and/or Supply and Erect New Timber Fencing The contractor shall provide a reactive removal and disposal service and/or supply and erect new Timber fencing for void properties on an ad-hoc basis. Reactive Repair Timber Fencing The contractor shall provide a reactive repair service to existing timber fencing for properties on an ad hoc basis. Programmed Removal and Disposal and/or supply and erect new Timber fencing The Contractor will be given a programme of properties where removal and disposal, and/or supply and erect new timber fencing are to be undertaken. This programme will be outlined at contract pre-start meetings and on-going programme review meetings. An individual pre-start meeting will be held with East Lothian Council representatives and Contractor to provide instructions and agree the programme. The Contractor shall agree the programme with ELC detailing the sequence of operations, timescales for commencement and completion. Timber requirements- All timber and wood-derived products must be from a Legal and Sustainable Source. (BS 1722-5:2006 & BS 1722-7:2006). Tenderers will be required to provide details of the Forrest source for the timber they will supply under this Framework Agreement.
