The Provision of a Tunable Broadband QC Laser System
Published
Description
The Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) is looking to purchase a tunable mid-IR laser system that can be used in the frame of the Mid-Infrared Silicon Photonic Sensors for Healthcare and Environmental Monitoring, Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (MISSION EPSRC) programme grant. The ORC already possesses a tunable laser systems that cover the 6-12 μm spectral range, however it does not operate in CW regime, has low output optical power and it has no beam pointing control. The MISSION is a flagship project with the main objective to demonstrate medical and environmental sensors based on absorption spectroscopy using silicon photonics platforms. It is a multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary project which requires a widely tunable mid-IR source with large CW output power and excellent beam pointing control. Since we are developing various sensing platforms it is crucial we get such a source to be able to efficiently test our sensors. The system will be used for research and will be based in Building 53 (Mountbatten building at Highfield campus). How to obtain Tender Documents Website: https://in-tend.co.uk/universityofsouthampton/aspx/Home The Tender documents can be accessed when logged into In-Ted by selecting 'View Details' on the relevant tender advert and clicking the 'Express Interest' tab. Note that the return documents Tenderers must submit with their tender response are: - File 6 - Compliance and Selection Requirements; - File 7 - Qualitative Response Requirements; - File 8 - Commercial Response Requirements; and - File 9 - Additional Response Requirements For clarification requests, please use the table provided in File 3 - Invitation to Tender Schedules and submit the document via the Correspondence function. Opting In and Opting Out Please note you are required to 'Opt In' before you can access the full tender document set.
