Description

MSE wishes to set up a Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of Estates Minor Works. Vendors wishing to Qualify for Dynamic Purchasing System DPS's being established by MSE. Vendors accepted onto MSE Estates Minor Works Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) will be offered the opportunity to tender for business opportunities as they arise. Lot 1: Air Handling Units, Filters, Ventilation & Extraction Services Air Handling Unit AHU is a piece of equipment that handles, conditions, and circulates air in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system (HVAC). Filters are located in these systems and require regular replacement. Ventilation is the process of allowing fresh air to get into a room or building. Air extraction remove moist or polluted air, typically from kitchens, bathrooms, theatres and wards to the outside. Lot 2: Air Monitoring Services Air monitoring means airborne asbestos fibre sampling that assesses exposures and the effectiveness of control measures. Air monitoring includes exposure, control, and clearance monitoring. Lot 3: Asbestos Removal/Treatment Services Asbestos removal is the process of mitigating to an acceptable level in accordance with HSE Regulations the health risks associated with asbestos exposure. This can be done by removing the asbestos from an asset or encapsulating it with a protective barrier with a process or regular inspections being carried out. Lot 4: Brick and Blockwork Services Also known as modern masonry construction. Lot 5: Building (General) Services Various forms of construction from design, build, remodel, refurbishments and repairs. Lot 6: Building (Hospital) Services Various forms of construction from design, build, remodeling, refurbishments and repairs in and around a hospital/health live environment. Lot 7: Building Management Systems and Automatic Control Systems / Services Building Management Systems (BMS) which control manages and monitors security doors, automatic doors HVAC Assets including ventilation, air handling plant, boilers & heating, Room temperatures and lighting. Lot 8: Flooring and Wall Services Seamless and monolithic flooring, Carpeting, Ceramic floor & wall tiles, indoor or outdoor paving and internal wall protection Lot 9: Civil Engineering Civil Engineering is concerning with the design and maintenance of a building. Lot 10: Cladding and Insulation Services Cladding is a covering or coating on a structure or material. Insulation is material used in a building to reduce the flow of thermal energy. Lot 11: Cleaning and Site Clearance Services Site Clearance Services including builders waste, brick & blocks, etc. Recycling unwanted equipment and materials including BER furniture, shelving, racking, etc. Provision of specialist cleaning services for COSSH regulated materials, chemicals and provision of temporary site works, protection and site lighting services to hospital sites not before or after construction works or ward decants and deep cleans. Lot 12: Cooling and Refrigeration, Chillers Condensers and Split Air Conditioning Services To provide installation, proactive and reactive routine maintenance on commercial units. Must hold F-gas certification and maintain accurate records. Lot 13: Curtain and Blind Services Curtains and Blinds - Ward curtains purchase, repair, and replacement. Blinds purchase, repair, and replacement. Lot 14: Demolition Work Services Partially knocking a building/structure down or totally destroying it. Lot 15: Are you able to provide Doors and Windows Repair and Installation Services including Manual and Automatic Doors Providing installation, replacement and repair of all windows and doors. Automatic door is a door that opens automatically, without the need for human intervention or usually upon sensing the approach of a person. Must be FENSA (The Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme) approved installer. A FENSA certification is a document that says the installer of your windows and doors has carried out the works in order to comply with Building Regulations. Lot 16: Accredited Fire Doors Services Must hold accreditations as follows, FIRAS (Fire Accreditation Scheme), IFC Certification (a UKAS accredited certification body), Trada Q Mark Fire Door Installation Scheme) and LPCB/BRE 1271. Lot 17: Drainage Services Above & Below Ground Drainage / Public Health associated supply and waste water treatment and works. This must include use of A/BGD CCTV Surveying Services and Reporting. Emergency Services associated with waste water & tanker suction and pumping out equipment. Lot 18: NECIEC Electrical Installation and Maintenance Services including Fixed Wire Testing (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) Electrical Installation is a term that refers to the installation, periodic inspection, repair, alteration, and maintenance of fixed electrical equipment (including Fixed Wire Testing) and associated wiring and distribution in connection with Healthcare Regulated premises. Fixed Wire Testing is the inspection of the wiring within a building that requires to be periodically tested and certified. Lot 19: NECIEC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) Emergency Lighting & Power Services Emergency Lighting is a lighting fixture supplied with an uninterruptable power supply, either by local or centralised battery storage facility that provides emergency lighting for means of escape for occupants in event of a mains power failure Lot 20: Fencing and Gates Services Design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of permanent fencing and storage compounds, etc. as required. Installation & maintenance of powered access gates. Lot 21: Groundworks Services Groundworks is the first set of activities involved on a construction site that leads to trenching or foundations. Lot 22: General Flooring Services Flooring refers to the installation, repairs, and maintenance to all types of floor coverings Lot 23: Glazing Services Furnishing or fitting with glass, including emergency boarding up, manufacture and installation of a range of single, double or laminated glazing of varying thickness and styles. Lot 24: Locksmiths Services Repair locks, install locks (including digital locks) and provide a key cutting service. Lot 25: Modular Building Services Hire of demountable buildings for either long term, short term or purchase. Lot 26: Joinery and Partition Services 1st Fix Joinery refers to those wooden components of a building, such as stairs, doors and window frames, internal walls, and false ceilings. Lot 27: Landscaping and Tree Services The process of making a garden or other piece of land more attractive by design, adding ornamental features and planting trees, flowers, or shrubs. Maintenance services including pollarding, crown topping and grass cutting. Services provided for trees, including planting, removal, topping, pruning, or engaging in Arbor cultural practices Lot 28: Escalators and Conveyance Systems Services Escalator maintenance including checking safety features and devices, the general operation of the unit and the condition of all parts. Conveyance Systems is the action or process of transporting or carrying someone or something from one place to another. Lot 29: Painting and Decorating (General) Services Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper and other finishes and special coatings to walls, ceilings, and internal & external surfaces and structures Lot 30: Plastering & Rendering Services Plastering – including renovating, repairing and finish plaster types including dry lining services Rendering is the action of applying plaster a cementitious based render to a wall. Lot 31: Plumbing Services The system of pipes, tanks, fittings, and other apparatus required for the water supply, heating, and sanitation in the building. Lot 32: Portable Appliance Testing PAT testing is the inspection and examination of portable electrical machinery and equipment to determine if they are operating at maximum effectiveness and if they are safe to use. Lot 33: Renewables Energy Services A natural resource or sustainable source of energy that is not dependant on fossil fuels or carbon depleting resources e.g., water, wind, or solar, ground/air source and photovoltaic solar thermal and any future innovations. Lot 34: Road Maintenance (Minor Works) Services Roads and highways are travelled ways on which people, animals or wheeled vehicles move. Pothole/patch repairs, tar overbanding, road lining services, burning off and drainage works associated with roads and pavings. Lot 35: Roofing and Guttering Services Roofing is the top covering of a building including all materials and constructions necessary. Guttering is a factor of the entire roofing system which works to collect rainwater that runs off your roof, leading it to a connected downpipe and into a drainage system. Lot 36: Safety Equipment (incl. Fall Restraint/Arrest System) Services Refers to safety fall arrest or restraint systems that either protect you from reaching areas where falls are likely or prevent you from falling from height. Lot 37: Scaffolding Services A temporary structure on the outside of a building, made of wooden planks and metal poles, used during building, repair and/or cleaning a building. Lot 38: Security, Access Control, Intruder & CCTV Systems Security, Door Access Control, Intruder Alarm & CCTV Systems Lot 39: Generators Installation and Maintenance Services Emergency Generators for the temporary production of electrical energy at the point of use. To be used in the event of unforeseen power failures. Will require regular test in accordance with HTM’s. Lot 40: Water Systems – Servicing, Legionella Testing, Thermostatic Mixing Valves, Water Hygiene & Associated Plant Services Legionella Testing is testing for bacteria that can cause Legionnaires Disease. The testing is completed throughout the hot and cold-water systems. Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV3) - a valve that blends hot water with cold water to ensure constant, safe shower and bath outlet temperatures, preventing scalding. It is a device that automatically controls the temperature and flow of water in a shower or sink. Water Hygiene to ensure safe drinking water and sanitation. Conduct Risk assessments and produce detailed summary reports Lot 41: High Voltage and Switchgear Maintenance Services High Voltage allows for efficient power transmission over long distances while reducing energy loss due to resistance. Switchgear is composed of electrical disconnect switches, fuses and automatic circuit breakers used to control, protect, and isolate high voltage electrical equipment. Lot 42: Low Voltage control systems and switch panel maintenance & installation services Low voltage systems, consisting of the combination of one or more protection or switching devices, with a control, measurement, signalling protection and regulation requirements Lot 43: General Lighting Services To replace the incandescent units or LED of a light fixture. Installation and maintenance of internal and external lighting fittings and equipment Lot 44: Refrigeration & Freezer Maintenance Services Refrigerator maintenance is the regular cleaning and checking of your refrigerators, cold rooms, and freezers to ensure that it is working properly. Must be F-Gas accredited. Lot 45: Nurse/Emergency Call Systems Services Nurse and emergency call systems. Provide information and facilitate efficient communication between staff, patients and systems that can enable patient care and improve clinical workflow. Lot 46: (CAFM) Computer Aided Facilities Management by Information Technology Services Provision and maintenance of central software to ensure all aspects of facilities management can be reported, controlled, and monitored / measured to provide effective management and reporting of all associated operational activity. Lot 47: Gas and Oil Boilers Services & associated Plant. MTHW / LTHW Heating Plant - design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance. A boiler is a closed vessel in which fluid is heated. The fluid does not necessarily boil. The heated or vaporised fluid exits the boiler for use in various processes or heating applications, including water heating, central heating, boiler-based power generation, cooking, and sanitation. Must have Gas Safe Accreditation for company and individuals. Lot 48: General Gas Appliance Services An appliance that uses natural gas, propane, hydrogen etc as its power source rather than electricity. Must have Gas Safe Accreditation for company and individuals. Lot 49: Steam Plant Services Is a plant designed to convert the heat from the combustion of a fuel into mechanical energy by means of steam. Lot 50: Air Compressors Services An air compressor is a machine that takes ambient air from the surroundings and discharges is at a higher pressure. Lot 51: Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Services Combined heat and power CHP is a highly efficient process that capture and utilises the heat that is a by-product of the electricity generation process. Lot 52: Bunded/ Bunkered Fuel Storage – Supply and Maintenance of the Tanks Services A bunded oil fuel tank is a tank within a tank. Fuel bunkers are containers for the storage of fuel. Lot 53: Are you able to provide Lightning Protection Services A lightning protection test (LPT) involves all lightning conductors and earth grounding installations being visually inspected and tested by a qualified electrical engineer. Lot 54: Statutory Inspection Services Inspections required by law to ensure the safety of plant and machinery. Lot 55: Building Fabric Maintenance Services The process of managing any ongoing repairs and maintenance of a building’s structural features. Lot 56: Ironmongery Services The provision of manufacture and repair/enhancement of items made from iron, steel, aluminium, brass, or other metals, including weld and fabrication repairs Lot 57: Barrier Control Maintenance Services Automatic ( ANPR ) controlled barriers and bollards utilised in car parking management Lot 58: Signage Services To design and supply signage. Exterior, interior, wayfinding, and temporary event signage. Lot 59: Furniture Management Services To provide collection, refurbishment and recycling of equipment suitable for re-use and repair Lot 60: Removal Services General Removal Services for office/domestic relocations. Includes the decanting and moving of equipment, records, IT equipment and personal staff possessions during the relocation of departments and services to alternative areas/ sites. Lot 61: Energy Management/BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) Services Energy management is the process of monitoring, controlling and conserving energy in a building or an organisation. BREEAM is an established method of assessing, rating, and certifying the sustainability of new buildings. Lot 62: Catering Equipment Maintenance Services Commercial Appliance and Equipment used in the food service industry. Includes the design, manufacture, installation of catering equipment, ventilation hoods, suppression systems and heat recovery unit maintenance Lot 63: Cable Management System Services Cable management encompasses the organisation, routing, and protection of wiring systems across a range on installation types. Practical for use in healthcare regulated & commercial environments, utilising structured cable design & equipment to manage wiring ensuring a safe & compliant cable management solution Lot 64: Temporary fencing (Heras), Chapter 8 Regulatory and temporary road traffic and pedestrian management systems. Provision of temporary fencing and barriers to accommodate scheduled roads & pavings, and general works to be carried out safely, including relevant signage. Lot 65: Tree Surveys Assessment/survey of trees condition and safety so that the Authority can make informed decisions. Lot 66: Pneumatic Air tube Installation and Maintenance Service Provision and maintenance of internal systems to transport small items and documents from one point to another Lot 67: UPS/IPS installation, maintenance, and service Uninterruptible Power Supply, and Isolated Power Supply system installation, maintenance, and service. Lot 68: Gritting and Snow Clearing Services Gritting and snow clearance of pathway, carparks, and roadways to include provision of grit/salt. Lot 69: Reverse Osmosis System Installation, Preventative and Reactive Maintenance Reverse Osmosis is a water purification process utilising semi permeable membrane to separate water molecules from other substances Lot 70: Are you available to provide Pest control and Guano cleaning services The process of managing and preventing pest such us (but not exhaustive) insects, rodents, birds, and other animals, using a variety of methods including traps, barriers, chemical methods, hawking, netting, and pesticides Guano is the excrement of seabirds and bats. Lot 71: Pump Reconditioning and Motor Rewinding Services Reconditioning is rebuilding from brand new parts to function as new. A motor rewind means that a coil is rewound and reinstalled for the necessary armatures or other components. The goal is to get the motor back to functioning at its optimal level. Lot 72: Window Cleaning Services, including Tower-block and High reaching windows The internal and external cleaning of glass used for structural, lighting, visual or decorative purpose. Lot 73: Plant Hire Services Ability to hire equipment and machinery on a temporary basis to facilitate short-term projects. Lot 74: Container Hire Services (incding refrigerated) A container with strength and durability to withstand shipment, storage, and handling. Usually of steel construction. Refrigerated means ability to store goods within at cold and sub-zero temperatures in a controlled environment. Lot 75: Authorising Engineer Services Chartered engineer appointed by a healthcare organisation or NHS Trust to provide advice and assess compliance with Health Technical Memoranda and Service and Facilities Group 20. Lot 76: Bed Pan Washers and Macerators Services Wash and disinfect reusage human waste containers. Mechanism to break down human waste to allow pumping to an external waste pipe. Lot 77: Water Pressurisation Services Water and waste pump/pressure vessels management. Lot 78: Dishwasher supply, service, and maintenance Supply, service, and maintenance of commercial dishwashers. Lot 79: Water Coolers and Water Dispensers. Supply and Maintenance. The provision of chilled or room temperature water to end users, patients, visitors, and staff. Water coolers dispense chilled water and can be either bottled or mains fed, and a dispenser dispenses water at room temperature. Lot 80: Professional Services Repair and maintenance services for pumps, valves, taps, metal containers and machinery
