Description
The Golden Jubilee Foundation is currently having constructed a new Ophthalmology Treatment Centre. The Board have undertaken detailed work to identify the specific requirements and potential solutions for a fully accessible self check in which fully meets the needs of patients with sensory, physical or cognitive impairments. To date the Board have reviewed the current marketplace and have found no single solution which fully meets the requirements — specifically the requirements as detailed in the Equalities Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duty. Therefor the Board are seeking to work in partnership with supplier(s) to develop a solution that provides fully accessibility for all patients to the required self check in kiosks. It should be noted that the opportunity for development may also be of interest to other suppliers providing equipment were the public interface with IT solutions. The Board are seeking to work in partnership with supplier(s) to provide a fully accessible patient self check in solution that reflects the requirements of the Equalities Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equalities Duty. To date the Board have reviewed the marketplace and have not identified a current solution that fully meets the above requirement. The document developed by the board which reflects best practice guidelines and legislation will be made available on application (please contact robert stewart on Robert.Stewart@gjnh.scot.nhs.uk to request this information. In addition a specification document for the self service check in solution is also available. Potential bidders should not that by applying to receive the above document that it is governed by a non disclosure requirement and by requesting a copy of the document that you are agreeing to observe the non disclosure of the information contained within it. Bidders are also requested to observe the following statement on Intellectual property (IP). Each organisation would retain ownership of its own background IP. IF foreground IP is developed during the course of the project, the understanding is that there would be option for this to be shared between both parties. On agreement of terms the commercial partner would have full and exclusive rights with regard to commercialism of the IP. N.B. Background IP is pre-existing intellectual property that a party brings to the project, while Foreground IP is intellectual property generated in the development project.
