Description
Lancashire and South Cumbria Maternity and Newborn Alliance are committed to becoming trauma informed. There is currently a huge appetite for a cultural shift within the Local Maternity System (LMS) from all members to take a more trauma informed approach to our work, and a real motivation to change current service delivery so that we provide an enhanced offer to our families. The plan is ambitious and aspirational, but wholly achievable with the investment and commitment of all within the LMS. This briefing refers to the maternity and perinatal mental health services becoming ‘trauma-informed’.
