The States of Guernsey requires the procurement, deployment, and operation of wave buoys, together with associated instrumentation and acoustic doppler current profilers (ADCPs), to address gaps in site-specific environmental data. The primary purpose of this equipment is to collect accurate, high-quality data to increase confidence in wave predictions and to support the calibration and refinement of hydrodynamic modelling
