The University of the Arts London is seeking expressions of interest from capable Respondents to support the Centre for Fashion Enterprise European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Business Support Programme 2016-2019. The Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) partners the best emerging fashion talent with the best business support teams, to catalyse the growth of sustainable London based fashion companies capable of developing into global fashion brands. CFE has positioned itself as the sole provider exclusively focusing on business support for London's emerging high-end and luxury fashion product designers. For an overview of the service requirements being advertised, please refer to the description set out under the relevant Lots 1-9. Respondents are required to note that expressions of interest can be formalised for any 1 or all of the Lots advertised. Product range planning, pricing and sales consultancy for fashion SMEs. Required to support project beneficiaries with new product innovation activities, ensuring that their products are planned, costed and priced correctly, ready for entry into the market. Enabling the achievement of project contractual output targets: — In depth understanding of micro and SME high-end fashion designer and accessory businesses; — In depth understanding of the Global luxury market place; — Sales strategy development for the fashion designer sector; — Strategies for fashion product development of online (external wholesale), and own e-commerce; — Fashion range planning and costing/pricing strategies for wholesale; and own e-commerce; — Fashion Product diversification e.g. introducing new product categories; — Critical paths and fashion calendars for all product categories, including delivery and delivery windows; — Entrepreneurial, management and coaching skills. Delivering Workshops and the 1-to-1 in-depth tailored support, guiding SMEs in the strategies, infrastructures and financial planning to realize high-growth models. Required Knowledge/ Attributes: — In depth understanding of UK micro and SME businesses, high-end fashion and accessory businesses and tech/fashion tech; — An understanding of the Global luxury market place; — Business planning for high-end fashion, accessory and tech/fashion tech businesses; — Entrepreneurial, management and coaching skills; — Finance: cash flow management, access to finance; — How to grow a business, what you need and when e.g. accountant, etc. From early stage to investment. Required to analyse and disseminate new business models such as the Lean business model to beneficiaries. Required Knowledge/ Attributes: — In depth understanding of UK micro and SME businesses, high-end fashion and accessory businesses and tech/fashion tech; — Business planning for high-end fashion, accessory and tech/fashion tech businesses; — Entrepreneurial, management and coaching skills; — Finance: understanding cash flow management, access to finance; — How to grow a business; — How to develop and implement a business plan; — An understanding of the Global luxury market place and Tech space; — Strategic business planning tools such as the business model canvas, the Lean business model. Required to deliver and coordinate Workshop Programme, wrap-up and evidence harvesting. In depth understanding of UK micro and SME businesses, high-end fashion and accessory businesses and tech/fashion tech; — An understanding of the Global luxury market place; — Well networked with other relevant experts and practitioners in the sector; — Business planning for high-end fashion, accessory and tech/fashion tech businesses;— Entrepreneurial, management and coaching skills; — How to grow a business, from early stage to investment. Develop an expert workshop programme which fulfils the objectives of the Market Entry Programme (Level 1) as described; Supply and co-ordinate relevant expert speakers. Deliver a 12 hour workshop programme to 25-30 eligible project beneficiaries. Undertake a 1-to-1 post workshop wrap-up with project beneficiaries. Supports the technical development of new fashion related products: — In depth understanding of high-end fashion and accessory businesses and tech/fashion tech; — In depth knowledge of garment technologies for a broad range of product types; — Experience of small and large garment production (UK and overseas); — Experience of pattern cutting, block development, grading and garment construction; — In depth knowledge of fabric technology and testing; — Experience of identifying and analysing problems and proposing solutions; — Knowledge of quality control methodologies and international garment labelling; — Experience of sampling processes — from workroom to sealed sample; — Awareness of smart textiles and wearable tech; — Ability to run workshop programmes. 1-to-1 consultations with project beneficiaries encompassing the full range of garment technology. Introduce and develop tool-kits for garment analysis — from sample to full production. Run small workshops for sample fitting, quality and sizing. Deliver expert advice and guidance on e-tailing, multi-channel commerce and marketing to high-end fashion SMEs. Supports SMEs to develop and improve their online branding, marketing and communications activities, and to diversify into and/or improve their e-commerce strategies and operations. Provision of Branding Consultancy Services to fashion SMEs: Knowledge/Attributes: — In depth understanding of micro and SME high-end fashion designer and accessory businesses and tech/fashion tech; — In depth understanding of the Global luxury market place; — Developing Brand identities for the Global luxury market place; — Ability to deliver workshops; — In depth knowledge of developing and implementing brand architecture; — Demonstrate a wide range of networks and contacts which will add value to the project beneficiaries. 1-to-1 bespoke consultancy and Business support workshops to project beneficiaries on the CFE Level 2, 3 and 4 Programmes to include: Luxury brand analysis and marketing strategies to all project beneficiaries Brand planning, strategy and building brand value to all project beneficiaries; To understand and develop a brand deck (explains the brand's personality); To facilitate the understanding of emotional branding. — Appropriate accreditation and/or evidenced knowledge and experience of: Individual team management, Leadership, organisational development, coaching and psychometric profiling, positive psychology in the workplace; — Developing personal competency and capability; — Developing selection, performance management and development processes within businesses. Contribute to CFE level 1 Business support workshops (to include an introduction to leadership and organisational development; 1-to-1 bespoke consultancy and Business support workshops to project beneficiaries on the CFE Level 2, 3 and 4 Programmes; Identify and develop innovative ways of delivering learning; To develop tool kits and strategies for delivering key techniques to the project beneficiaries; Demonstrate a wide range of networks and contacts which will add value to the project beneficiaries. — In depth understanding of micro and SME high-end fashion designer and accessory businesses Global luxury market place; — Highly developed network with UK and international fashion luxury brand media; — Reputational gravitas with fashion editors and media influencers; proven track record representing established fashion and accessory brands and emerging young designers; — Handling press relations across all media; — Preparing press releases and media content; — Profile raising of CFE and the project; — Management of media releases around all CFE activity (creation and distribution); — Act as a sounding board to the project, PR and communications insight, recommendations and strategic counsel; — Creation and distribution of press releases; — Deliver press days to profile CFE, the project and supported businesses; — Contribute to CFE level 1 Business support workshops; — 1-to-1 bespoke consultancy and workshops to project beneficiaries on the CFE Level 2, 3 and 4 Programmes.
