Birmingham City Council wishes to invite potential suppliers to submit applications to join a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the procurement of temporary accommodation through the private rented sector and private registered providers of social housing. The purpose of the DPS is to support the Council's statutory duty to provide temporary accommodation to priority needs households under the housing Act 1996, the Homelessness Act 2002 and the Homeless Reduction Act 2017. These Acts require the Council to provide accommodation on a temporary basis for a minimum of 56 days to relieve or prevent homelessness or for a longer term while permanent accommodation is secured. The DPS will last for two years, with the option to extend for a further two years in yearly increments. Call-off contracts awarded under the DPS may be in place for up to two years. The DPS will be established on the following property types: o Category 1: Studio/1Bedroomed o Category 2: Two Bedroomed o Category 3: Three Bedroomed o Category 4: Four Bedroomed o Category 5: Five Bedroomed o Category 6: Six Bedroomed Potential Suppliers may apply for admission for one or more of the categories and shall be invited to submit a tender for each specific contract at the time of tendering. BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
