Description

The GEN-CKD study (Genetic Variation on kidney function, diabetes), based at the MRC/UVRI & LSHTM Unit in Uganda, requires genotyping services. The genotyping services will be carried out through the H3Africa array held by CPGR (Centre for Proteomic & Genomic Research) in south Africa. Lot 1: Genotyping provides a comprehensive view of the genome and able to detects single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and other variations across the genome as well as identify potential causative disease variants for further targeted studies. 8,024 Samples are to be genotyped on the illumine-H3Africa Consortium Array v2, which was specially designed to enable identification of genetic associations with common and rare traits among African populations. Additional information: This procurement is being managed by the MRC/UVRI and LSHTM Uganda Research Unit.
