Description

This competition is for the appointment of an architect led design team for the design and delivery of a new administration building on behalf of Institute of Technology Carlow. The overall gross internal floor area of the proposed building will be circa 2 200m2 spread across 3 stories. The new building is proposed to be located on the same footprint of an existing 2 storey prefab which will be required to be demolished as part of the contract and in advance of the new construction works commencing. Individual submissions in response to this SAQ are required for each of the following primary disciplines: — architectural (inc PSDP, DAC and fire), — civil and structural engineer, — mechanical and electrical engineer, — quantity surveying. PSDP, fire and DAC, where they are not being provided directly by the architectural firm, will be sub-consultants of the architectural consultant.
