Description
The Contracting Authority intends to establish a framework agreement for the supply of non-balloon feeding tubes. Unplanned hospital attendance is common among patients undergoing supplemental home enteral nutrition with jejunostomy feeding tubes. Fixation problems and dislodgement account for the majority of presentations and have an impact on quality of life and community and hospital resources. The clinical objective of this framework agreement is to secure the reliable supply of non-balloon feeding tubes, which will mitigate the risk of dislodgement.
