Expression of Interest (EOI) – Ceiling Hoist Replacement Programme and Future Lifting & Handling Strategy

Health & Social Care (HSC), States of Guernsey, is undertaking a market engagement exercise to understand the solutions, technologies, service models and commercial arrangements available within the market for ceiling hoist replacement and wider lifting and handling equipment support across the healthcare estate. The immediate requirement relates to the replacement of approximately 61 ceiling hoist units that are approaching or have reached manufacturer obsolescence. HSC currently operates approximately 140 ceiling-mounted hoists across multiple healthcare sites, including facilities in Guernsey and Alderney. This Expression of Interest is intended to gather market intelligence and supplier recommendations regarding equipment solutions, maintenance arrangements, lifecycle management, commercial models, delivery approaches and future replacement strategies. The exercise is not being used to evaluate, shortlist or exclude suppliers and does not constitute a procurement process or commitment to tender. Information obtained through this exercise will be used to inform future requirements, business case development, procurement strategy and tender documentation. It is anticipated that any future procurement will be undertaken via a separate open tender process.
