Description

Asker municipality shall construct a new swimming pool at Holmen in Asker. The building shall have a 25 m long pool with 8 lanes, each lane shall be 2,5 m wide (25 x 21 m). In addition there is a therapy pool of 12,5 x 12,5 m and changing rooms, a canteen, gym, etc. Emphasis will be put on energy saving measures in the project and the building shall fulfil the passive house requirements for sports buildings. The building's design is adapted to the passive house principle and solar panels will be placed on the roof at the same time as the building's design will emphasise its function and importance in Holmen. The building's roof will be a kind of solar energy park that will be available for the operation of the building. This gives a unique possibility to experience the building for those who have the desire and energy to go up on to the roof. The system is meant to reflect the builder's ambitious desire to design the building for future generations. Emphasis will be put on energy saving measures in the project and the aim is to use environmentally friendly construction materials. The building body, cold bridges, wind-proofing and design will be engineered on passive house terms and the execution requires accuracy, quality assurance and competence.
