Mayo County Council require Hydrology, Geology and Hydrogeology Consultancy Services to assist in the progression of the design of the N59 Westport to Mulranny Road Project through Phase 3 & 4 of the NRA 2010 Project Management Guidelines.The length of the proposed road development is approximately 26.8km, of which 7km may be short off-line sections at three locations. It is intended to carry out improvements works to the horizontal and vertical alignment along the whole road project and to carry out pavement and footpath improvement works within the speed limits of Newport Town as part of this road project.The road cross-section will comprise of a Type 3 Single Carriageway. The Project Area is divided into seven rural sections, depending on whether it is proposed to construct an online or possible offline road, and an overlay section within the speed limits of Newport Town.The Consultant shall assess the Preferred Route in relation to hydrology, geology and hydrogeology issues, assist the ecologist in the Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment, provide hydrology, geology and hydrogeology input into the environmental impact assessment screening and report, prepare hydrology, geology & hydrogeology section for either the Environmental Impact Statement or Environmental Assessment Report, assist the Design Team in preparation for the statutory procedures, oral hearings, judicial reviews where necessary.The services required for the above duties may include :*Prepare Hydrology, Hydrogeology and Geology Assessment Report for inclusion in the Design (Preliminary Design) Report and EIS/EIA/Part 8 Statutory Procedures in accordance with NRPMG 2010.*Preparation of Risk Assessments and Cost Estimates in accordance with the Cost Management Manual*Preparation for and attendance at Risk Workshops, Value Engineering Workshop, Peer Review, Oral Hearings, etc*Consultation with statutory and non-statutory bodies*Liaison with the Design Team including other environmental and technical specia
