Early Years Settings from a Universal Design approach. To create Bespoke Design Guidance from a Universal Design approach for Early Years Settings in Ireland. This initiative is a partnership between the Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA) and the National Disability Authority's Centre for Excellence in Universal Design. The guidance will enable better design of new built Early Years Settings and give clear and detailed information on the retro-fitting of existing Early Years Settings. Deliverables will consist of A Literature Review and report based on National and International best practice that accurately reflects a Universal Design approach and the needs of the DCYA and the wide range of Early Years stakeholders. Audit tool developed for a range of Early Years Settings. Development of final guidance document for Early Years Settings Guidance from a Universal Design approach to include high quality technical drawings, proofing and layout work completed.
