The Supply, delivery and commissioning of mobile dental simulation units for the Clinical Skills Laboratory (OTL) at Cork University Dental School and Hospital (CUDSH)

Cork University Dental School and Hospital are looking for the supply, installation, validation, and commissioning of 24 simulation units at CUDSH. This document outlines the functional and technical requirements for simulation units to be provided to CUDSH. The simulation workstations will be used to teach and train dental students in a pre-clinical environment. All dental specialisations shall be able to utilise simulation workstations for all types of training i.e. a single workstation can cater for interdisciplinary teaching. The simulation unit must consist of a patient simulator, a dentist element, an assistant element and an operating light. To enhance and support student education CUDSH seeks one supplier for the 24 simulation units. This is to allow the students to easily transition from the simulation setting to the clinical environment. The 24 simulation units will be located in the OTL clinic in CUDSH. These simulations units must be mobile to enable them to be moved to another site/room if required. CUDSH reserves the option to purchase up to 24 additional units and spare parts or additional equipment options during the lifetime of this contract if so desired
