Description

This project involves the installation of solar PV arrays at South Dublin County Council owned and leased buildings sites. The total minimum acceptable power output for each installation will be determined based on a site-specific building assessment carried out by the Contractor. Array sizes are likely to vary from 5kWp up to 60kWp. The current Council property asset register, indicates approximately 50 buildings, with a typical purpose of offices, libraries, community buildings, depots and pavilions, are likely for inclusion of PV panel retrofit programme. The design objective is to maximise cost-effectiveness of the system by ensuring self-consumption of the generated power on site. The array will be grid connected. It is the intention of SDCC to appoint a design build operate and maintain contractor to complete the project in accordance with this technical specification.
