he University of Limerick (UL) requires a wheelchair accessible bus provider to facilitate the on-campus transport needs of students registered with the Disability Support Service at UL. This includes students who use wheelchairs or portable mobility aids and those who do not. The vehicle will have the capacity to accommodate manual and power type wheelchairs. The Service will be required from 8.30 to 18.30 each weekday for each semester (total 30 weeks), excluding bank holidays and planned/emergency closures. The service will provide students with transport to/from their accommodation on campus or within close proximity, to various parts of the campus as necessary. Pick-up and drop-off may be either on campus or within close proximity of the campus. The service will ensure that a driver is contactable for users to pre book collection and drop off in advance and/or for same day requests as required. The vehicle must comply with all the regularity and safety requirements for such a vehicle. The driver must have the qualifications, licence, and training to drive and manage such a vehicle.
