Description

Tenders are invited from suitably qualified experts and experienced companies with hydrological experience to prepare a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) for County Carlow as part of the review of the current County Development Plan and the preparation of the new Carlow County Development Plan 2021 - 2027. The tender should demonstrate an appropriate understanding of SFRA within the context of the County Development Plan and the hierarchy of spatial land use plans. Please note that this contract is for the preparation of the SFRA of the Carlow County Development Plan which shall incorporate Carlow Town Development Plan (former Town Council area of the Joint Spatial Plan for the Greater Carlow Graiguecullen Urban Area 2012-2018) in accordance with Section 11C of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended). The new Co. Development Plan, will include plans with associated zonings for small towns / settlements within Co. Carlow. A separate contract is being procured for the preparation of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Appropriate Assessment (AA) of the County Development Plan.
