Jisc is looking for expertise from suppliers in one or more of the following areas: 1. Research, innovation, technology and management 2. Immersive and simulated technology services 3. Scholarly communications, information and library services 4. Research to support the digital transformation of teaching, learning and the student experience 5. Market horizon, scan, trends insights and competitor analysis research Lot 1: Lot 1: Research, innovation, technology and management Jisc is looking for suppliers who can provide expert support in the use of technology in all aspects of the research lifecycle. Experts will need to understand the research process and the technical systems that support it. Experts should be familiar with current pain points for senior research leaders, researchers, research support staff such as technicians, librarians, IT staff and research managers, the legal and ethical issues involved and future horizons. Immersive and simulated technology services Jisc is looking for suppliers who can deliver services and support in relation to immersive technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), extended reality (XR), and immersive and simulated technologies supporting the emerging concept of the metaverse.  We envisage that simulated and immersive content will be viewed on a wide range of devices and suppliers would demonstrate an awareness of accessibility standards. Scholarly communications, information and library services Jisc is looking for suppliers who can offer consultancy services support in the development and review of new forms of scholarly communication (including teaching and learning), information management, and related library technical solutions. Research for digital transformation of teaching, learning, assessment and student experience Jisc is looking for suppliers who can provide expert support for research and development activities in the digital transformation of learning, teaching, assessment and the student experience. Market horizon scan, trends, insights and competitor analysis research Jisc is looking for market research to understand the market trends, attitudes, behaviours and insights of specific market segments in the UK and internationally. Market segments may include end users such as students and researchers as well as staff. This research may include competitor analysis and an assessment of whether the market would support development of existing and/ or new technology-based products and services.
