DGCC 00274 Dumfries and Galloway Council are looking to procure a vehicle recovery service covering the whole of the Dumfries and Galloway region. Lot 1: Dumfries and Galloway Council is issuing this Prior Information Notice (PIN) to inform the market of a forthcoming opportunity for the provision of vehicle recovery services. The Council is exploring the potential to procure a vehicle recovery service covering the whole of the Dumfries and Galloway region. This includes urban, rural, and remote areas, and services must be available 24/7 throughout the year. The anticipated scope includes: The service must provide full coverage across the Dumfries and Galloway region and meet benchmark response times for vehicle recovery. Recovery and transportation of broken down, damaged, or abandoned vehicles Capability to handle cars, light goods vehicles, HGVs, and plant Emergency response support, including in adverse conditions Full compliance with all applicable transport and recovery regulations Demonstrated ability to meet industry-standard response times (e.g., 60–90 minutes depending on location and urgency) This PIN is issued solely to engage with the market in advance of any formal procurement. Feedback received will help inform the approach and structure of any future tender.
