Description
The Felixstowe Dock and Railway Company requires the provision of temporary workers to undertake labour services for warehousing duties at the Ports statutory examination area, comprising of 70 Shed, 72 Shed and TCEF (Temperature Controlled Examination Facility). The warehousing duties comprise of but are not limited to: • Handball (unloading and reloading trailers and containers). • Small forklift (<9t) work. The Felixstowe Dock and Railway Company ('the Purchaser') works on behalf of the cargo agent to present goods for examination by any interested Government or statutory agency controlling the throughput of cargo at the Port's Border. The work involves regular, repetitive manual labour, with the use of forklifts or pallet trucks to assist. The Purchaser expects to utilise on average 26,000 to 38,000 worked hours per year but this is not guaranteed and the Purchaser may award to more than one supplier. The Procurement Act 2023 regulations apply and suppliers and their Associated Persons will need to be registered on the Central Digital Platform. NOTE: the tender document is provided for information of requirements and must not be completed or submitted until invited to do so following successful completion of the conditions of participation stage which includes assessment of suppliers financial standing. Suppliers who express an interest will be required to complete and pass conditions of participation. These must be completed and submitted by the date detailed in Deadline for requests to participate. The Purchaser will undertake a financial assessment of the suppliers financial standing undertaken by the Purchasers Finance Department on an obtained finance report. Suppliers must pass this financial assessment as well as the conditions of participation.
