Description

Louth County Council has three closed landfills which are under licence by the EPA. As part of licence conditions landfill gas is actively extracted through a network of gas wells and manifolds in the capped area which is then flared. As part of each licence the Council is required to maximise the extraction of gas, balance the gas network system and flare gas in accordance with the licence. Call out to each site on average 2 times per annum. Supply of relevant parts such as ignition transformers, UV sensors, burner cups and thermocouples. Service and repair of knock out pots and air compressor lines, service and repair of air compressors, calibration of gas detection units twice per annum at each site, gas balance of Drogheda and Dundalk 4 times per annum, gas balance of Whiteriver 4 times per annum, test, diagnose and fault finding of flare compound electrical and mechanical systems, PLC controllers, flare scada system and data controllers.
