The CWGC is a global leader in commemoration. Founded by Royal Charter in 1917, we work on behalf of the Governments of Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom to commemorate the 1.7 million men and women from the Commonwealth who lost their lives in the two World Wars. The cemeteries, memorials, graves, landscapes, and records in our care will be found at 23,000 locations, and in more than 150 countries and territories around the world. The Commonwealth War Graves Group, which comprises The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) and The Imperial War Graves Endowment fund (IWGEF) are seeking to appoint an external auditor. The services required will include, but not be limited to; 1. Carry out an audit and provide an audit opinion on the accounts of the following: - the Commonwealth War Graves Commission; - the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation; - the consolidated accounts of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission; and - the Imperial War Graves Endowment Fund. 2. Report on the findings of its annual audit to the CWGC's Audit and Risk Committee and the CWGF Board and other CWGC groups if required. 3. Attendance at the following is required, either in person or remotely via dial in: - CWGC Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) meetings in February, July, and September. - CWGC Commissioner Meeting in September - CWGF trustee meeting in September and, -IWGEF trustee meeting in July 4.
