Kilbeggan to Mullingar Greenway Lidar And Imagery Tender

Westmeath County Council (Client/ Contracting Authority) have appointed RPS (Client’s Representative) to provide professional services for the development of the Kilbeggan to Mullingar Greenway. The Greenway will be a recreational trail, providing tourists, commuters and leisure users with a dedicated corridor linking the two towns. The project will be a purposeful recreational facility for use by cyclists, walkers and other designated users. The study area is broadly bounded by The Grand Canal Kilbeggan Branch to the south, the Old Rail Trail in the west, Mullingar to the north, and the N52 to the east. A LiDAR survey and Aerial Imagery survey are required to carry out engineering design along the options under consideration. This specification is to provide tenderers with the detailed brief of services for the LiDAR and Aerial Imagery surveys. This Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) and aerial imagery surveys will provide the background information to design and develop the project. In some cases the survey information may form part of a detailed topographical survey used for the detailed design process.
