SMART 2015/1091 — Tools and resources for CEF automated translation; lot 1: supporting acquisition of MT systems and necessary processing modules and related services

Description

This call for tender implements the CEF work programme 2015 as regards the automated translation building block. The call for tender consists of 3 lots with the following objectives: — acquisition of MT systems and necessary processing modules and related services for CEF automated translation (lot 1). The short-term objective of actions under this lot is to support the acquisition of MT systems and necessary processing modules and related services for the purpose of building the CEF automated translation platform. The activities performed by the contractor will assist the European Commission (EC) in selecting tools and services which it will purchase for their use in the CEF automated translation building block. The long-term objective is to fill the gaps in the coverage and quality of the automated translation infrastructure, thus contributing to ultimately making the CEF digital service infrastructures fully multilingual.
