Description

Årdal kommune [Årdal municipality intends to purchase one demo-used fire engine with a 32 m lift, from Rosendahl AS. The vehicle has a combined value of approx. 4 150 000 NOK excluding VAT. The vehicle i only available to the contracting authority for a short period. The contracting authority sees an increased need for height readiness due to the construction and establishment of blocks of flats where the fire service's existing climbing implements are not sufficient and where the height readiness consequently has a long response time (>3 hours). This is happening in both Årdal and in Lærdal, who Årdal municipality has a fire service cooperation with. The relevant equipment has a permanent water pump and foam mixing system. It is also equipped with a wireless control panel for operating the lift and water monitor. This involves significant preparation of safety for the contracting authority's cooperating partner who has a large industrial facility in Årdal. The cooperating partner therefore contributes to the purchase of this demo-used lift.
