Description

Provision of 1 cell sorter and one flow cytometer to assist in carrying out immunology analysis within the Gambia. The Unit carries out immunology analysis of novel vaccine responses and protective immunity to tuberculosis and malaria. To improve their current facilities and tools the need for a high spec cell sorter and flow cytometer have been identified. One BD FACS melody cell sorter required for single cell sorting (allowing for subsequent transcriptomic analysis) is essential to identify mechanisms of pathogenesis, impact of vaccines and evaluation of interactions with environmental co-factors. One BD Accuri C6 Plus Flow Cytometer for analysis of novel vaccine responses and protective immunity.
