The Norwegian Seafood Council needs data on the Norwegian grocery market for seafood in the USA to follow the development of seafood sales and underlying categories and products. The Norwegian Seafood Council is currently purchasing these data from Nielsen in the USA. Since the Nielsen company does not process data for incorporation in the Norwegian Seafood Council's product structure, this service must be purchased as an additional service. Lot 1: The Norwegian Seafood Council works systematically with market insight, market development, market preparedness, and reputation building in selected markets worldwide. The Norwegian Seafood Council also works actively in the USA, and needs to follow the development of the seafood market closely. Shop data that is obtained via the POS system in grocery trade gives a robust picture of seafood sales, particularly in a modern grocery market such as in the USA. The Norwegian Seafood Council has purchased data in the USA from Nielsen since 2016. Extensive data structuring has been made to adapt data to the Norwegian Seafood Council's data structure.
