Description

The provision of youth anti-social behaviour streetwork including related follow up activities and actions to support identified young people across West Lothian. Based on four areas - Area one Armadale and Blackridge Ward and Bathgate Ward Area 2 Whitburn and Blackburn Ward and Fauldhouse and the BV Ward Area 3 Livingston North Ward Livingston South Ward and East Livingston and East Calder Ward Area 4 Broxburn Uphall and Winchburgh Ward and Linlithgow Ward. Lot 4: Linlithgow, Winchburgh, Broxburn, Uphall West Lothian Council wishes to continue to commission detached, street-based youth work provision. The purpose would be to continue to engage with young people in areas, spaces where they meet (open spaces, parks, bus shelters and on the streets) to offer information, advice and support on a range of issues, taking a harm reduction approach to minimize risk-taking and anti-social behaviour. In addition where concern has been identified in and area or with and individual there should be appropriate related group work and one to one sessions with the local young people engaged. This would primarily be through those identified vis the Street Work but also via the Early and Effective Intervention (EEI) process or other referral routes as required. It would also be a requirement to signpost individuals to other relevant intervention, support provision in West Lothian. The service is required to cover a specific geographic area based on the multi member wards and the communities within them.
