Overnight Short Breaks - Provider Engagement

Cumberland Council is looking at how it commissions overnight short breaks for children and young people with disabilities and autism- and is keen to hear from providers. We are looking for providers – both those which deliver overnight short breaks already and those which are interested in doing so in future- to meet with us on a one-to-one basis to: • Share some information on current short breaks offer in the Cumberland; • Gain feedback on some ideas about future commissioning of overnight short breaks including pricing models; • Understand market capacity and any information/ data needs. There will be no changes to overnight short breaks in the immediate future and no decisions have been taken about if or how the offer might be commissioned in future. We would expect to hold a further market engagement session for all interested providers once any decisions have been made about future commissioning.
