The Supply, Installation and Commissioning of a Benchtop Atomic Force Microscope with Piezoresponse Force Microscope (PFM) Capabilities for use in a material characterisation research lab. The principal purpose of the instrument is to enable quantitative piezoelectricity measurements using PFM. The Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) must also be capable of measuring and mapping the mechanical properties of crystals at the micro and nanoscale. The AFM must have a motorized stage with micron-scale precision, and the AFM software must allow for automation of electromechanical measurements via scripts that can be customized by the user.
