Description

MEDITE Europe DAC are seeking suitably qualified companies to supply and commission a combined thickness gauge and a blister detector. Physical installation will be done by another contractor. Mandatory Requirements: Objective Medite intends to procure a panel thickness gauge and blister detector as a combined device, after the exit of the continuous press and before the tipple (scrap) conveyor. The system will utilize the footprint of the existing device, after latter is removed. Goals of device are to 1. Measure the cross-sectional thickness of each panel, over its full width, including the edges 2. Identify blisters, blow and most types of delamination System will provide data on critical characteristics of the panel, in real time, after it exits the press. The thickness measurement and blister indications should be visible to the production line operator via a graphical display, on monitors in the control room. Equipment should function at the full range of production/capacity speeds of the production line (see Tech Specs.). Equipment should comply with any relevant regulations such as ATEX, X-Ray & EU Machinery directives. Below is our Specification List, which sets out the details of our process and products to ensure the equipment is fit for purpose. Detailed specs below. General Technical Specifications • The panels produced range in gross length from 3700mm to 6155mm • The panels range in gross width from 2470mm to 2805mm • The panels range in gross thickness from 6.5mm to 48mm • Sufficient clearance should be available for blown/swollen board exiting the press, to avoid crashes • Panels range in density from 520 kg/m3 to 900 kg/m3 • Panels will enter the detectors (leading edge), at speeds ranging from 4.56m/min to 48m/min • Panels leave detectors (trailing edge) at 60m/min to Vmax 180m/min for thinnest board.
