Description

In connection with the procurement of equipment for the New Hospital in Drammen (Norwegian: NSD), pass-through flushing decontaminators will be procured. The contracting authority intends to enter into a contract with KEN Hygiene Systems AS for the procurement of pass-through flushing decontaminators, KEN BWD 738 EGA 2 doors. Lot 1: The flushing decontaminators will be used for emptying organic material, cleaning and disinfecting patient equipment and instruments and will be placed in bathrooms for contact and airborne infections in various buildings and departments at NSD. Scope K9613 Subgroup 02: Flush decontaminators pass-through, quantity: 43 units (+ option for 2 units) The construction project has surveyed the market and found only one supplier that can offer the type of machine needed at the New Hospital in Drammen. It has therefore been decided that Sykehusbygg will enter into a contract with KEN Hygiene Systems AS for the procurement of pass-through flushing decontaminators, KEN BWD 738 EGA 2 doors. The selected type of machine will provide NSD with a significant gain in terms of space utilisation, appropriate logistics and general resource use. Due to the progression and progress of the NSD project, it will not be possible to change the area allocated for machine type or purpose, as this will conflict with the rest of the planned construction in such a way that alteration is not possible or appropriate. Similarly, any conversion from a pass-through flushing decontaminator to a flushing decontaminator with a single door and the procurement of a washing decontaminator to fulfil this function will not be possible this late in the construction process. Based on this, the contracting authority considers the contract to be exempted from competition in accordance with the terms regulations of 12 August 2016, no. 974 on public procurements (public procurement regulations - FDA) § 13-4, letter b, point 2.
