NHS Norfolk & Waveney ICB (NWICB) is undertaking market engagement for the Provision of a Learning Disability Respite Service for People aged 18+ with a learning disability, who are under the duty of care of NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and are registered with a GP within Norfolk & Waveney.<br/><br/>This is a Market Engagement process to assess the interest, capacity and capability of the market to deliver a five-bed residential respite service with nursing care for adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.<br/><br/>The service will be provided 24 hours per day, seven days a week including days, evenings and weekends, and will be provided over a full 52 weeks per year, as defined and detailed in the Essential Standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). <br/><br/>This contract is anticipated to advertised and procured on the basis of an initial 3 year contract period, with an option to extend up to a further 24 months subject to Commissioner discretion and requirements (5 years in total). The ICB reserves the right to seek to schedule 1:1 market engagement meetings w/c 9th and/or 16th March 2026.<br/><br/>A further advertisement will be issued at the appropriate time. You will not be disadvantaged in any subsequent process if you choose not to respond to this market testing process, but the Commissioner wishes to understand your views.<br/><br/>Please note this is a market testing exercise and does not commit the ICB to carry out any further procurement process. Current services will remain in place during this period in line with existing contracts and service level agreements.
