Description
Provision of a Lymphedema and Complex Wound Care Service for residents of Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge. The service will deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients with lymphedema and complex wounds in community settings. Care will be provided by appropriately trained registered nurses and Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care and continuity of treatment. Lot 1: This procurement relates to the provision of a Lymphedema and Complex Wound Care Service to the population of Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge. The service will include, but is not limited to: Comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of lymphedema Development and implementation of individualised care plans Delivery of specialist lymphedema treatments Complex wound care assessment and management Ongoing monitoring and review of patients Patient education, prevention strategies and self-management support. Multidisciplinary working with other healthcare professionals Services will be delivered in community settings by suitably qualified and trained clinical staff, including registered nurses and HCAs. The service aims to improve patient outcomes, enhance quality of life, reduce complications and support patients to manage their conditions effectively. This is a direct award; no competition. Contract Value: £649,912.72 Contract Duration: 01 May 2026 - 31 March 2027 Procurement Route: This contract is intended to be awarded under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process C. Rationale for Direct Award: The current provider is delivering the service to a satisfactory standard. There are no proposed changes to the existing contract terms. Continuity of care is essential for this patient cohort The provider meets all relevant clinical and service requirements Decision: The contracting authority intends to award the contract to the existing provider in line with PSR Direct Award C.
