AFBI are currently seeking to purchase a feed intake and feeding behaviour monitoring system with the capacity to allow intakes and feeding behaviour of 90 dairy cows to be recorded individually. The system will comprise 30 feed intake stations, and will be used to record intakes of silage only diets, diets consisting of silage and concentrate mixtures, as well as intakes of other forages. The system will be installed within an existing dairy cow house. The contract is for the purchase of one (1) Dairy Cow Feed Intake and Feeding Behaviour Monitoring System, to include a 1 year warranty. The initial 1 year period will commence on the successful installation of the system. There are eleven (11) options to extend for a period of up to 12 months each, for maintenance only.
