FLEXIBLE FRAMEWORK FOR THE PROVISION OF CARE FOR ADULTS IN CARE HOMES

Description

Bath & North East Somerset Council are establishing a Flexible Framework for the Provision of Care for Adults in Care Homes. The Flexible Framework will be used for making care home (both residential and nursing) placements for older people (65+ years old), whose primary need does not relate to a Learning Disability. The Flexible Framework is being established by Bath & North East Somerset Council and may also be accessed by BANES Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The Flexible Framework is being established under the Light Touch Regime and therefore applies the flexibilities afforded under regulation 76 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The Flexible Framework will be used for calling-off individual placements and block contracts at nursing and residential homes within the B&NES Council and/or CCG boundary. The Council also invites care homes who are close to the B&NES boundary to participate. The Flexible Framework will not be used to make out of area care home placements, unless the home is very close to the B&NES Council and/or CCG boundaries.
