Description

Kongsberg Kommune has established a test arena for testing and development of self-driving vehicles. As part of the Sohjoa Baltic research project related to the INTEREG scheme, the municipality shall implement testing of self-driving minibuses inline with the new legislation which has allowed this. In Autumn 2018, the plan is to start testing of a route from Knutepunktet in Kongsberg to Teknologiparken [the Technology Park]. The pilot testing is planned to be carried out with a nine month operational period. The municipality wants to hire a self-driving mini bus in cooperation with Applied Autonomy that has been selected as a development and operational partner for Kongsberg Testarena, operation and control of autonomous vehicles. The tenderer is requested to describe possible partnership and roles that Kongsberg Testarena can get internationally and nationally if the tenderer is selected. The tenderer is requested to complete the attached requirement specification (Vehicle_ requirements_Kongsberg.xlsx), and provide a price offer and contract proposal. We request options on a longer hire period, and multiple vehicles that are hired in parallel. We also request an option on the purchase of vehicles.
