Description

The contracting authority wants tenders for service for transport of mobile blood donation unit for Stavanger (Stavanger Health Trust). The service includes both driver and towing vehicle to pull the mobile blood donation unit. The mobile blood donation unit was procured through an earlier tender competition. See Annex 2, Requirements Specification, for more detailed information. NB! Questions will not be answered during the period 11 July 2020 — 16 August 2020. The procurement concerns the hire of a towing vehicle and driver for Stavanger Health Trust. This is in connection with the previously procured mobile blood donation unit for Stavanger Health Trust. The mobile blood donation unit is anticipated to be ready for deliver in November 2020, and therefore there must be a towing vehicle and drive in place by this point in time. The mobile blood donation unit is a specially built semi-trailer where blood can be donated outside of the hospital's fixed blood donation premises. A mobile blood donation unit will be able to be moved and take blood donations both in the vicinity of large workplaces and in central locations in Sør-Rogaland such as Egersund, Jæren, Sandnes, Stavanger, Tau/Jørpeland etc. We anticipate taking blood donations from approx. 40 donors per day, four days a week. Stavanger Health Trust now wants tender offers for the hire of a towing vehicle and driving to freight, rig up and down the trailer and perform some service tasks required for taking care of the trailer in a way that ensures the operation of the unit without downtime. The mobile blood donation unit will be parked on the hospital site each week-day after donations, as well as on weekends. The driver will be responsible for handover of blood products to specified locations and personnel upon arrival at the hospital. The drivers will receive thorough training from the supplier of the trailer as well as from the Department for Immunology and Transfusion Medicine (The Blood Bank) at Stavanger University Hospital in order to safeguard the named assignments. Training at the supplier in Denmark is planned for three days in week 47. On these days, the drivers and towing vehicle are required to be available at the supplier of the mobile blood donation unit.
