Brackets and adapters for transport isolation units in the air ambulance service

Description

The Air Ambulance Service would like to establish air ambulance stand-by that is dedicated for transporting high risk infectious patients in infection isolation units. This service will be used for long distance transport in ambulance planes and ambulance vehicles over all of Europe. This requires specially designed brackets that can fix the ventilator and syringe pumps to the infection isolation unit in a functional and secure way during different phases of the transport between the discharging and receiving hospitals. In addition there is a need for a flexible adapter that can fix the infection isolation unit to different types of ambulance vehicle stretchers during transport from the airport to hospital and vice versa. Lot 1: The Air Ambulance Service would like to establish air ambulance stand-by that is dedicated for transporting high risk infectious patients in infection isolation units. This service will be operative from 1 March 2022 and will be used for long distance patient transport in ambulance planes and ambulance vehicles over all of Europe. This requires specially designed brackets that can fix the ventilator and syringe pumps to the infection isolation unit in a functional and secure way during preparation of the patient in the infection isolation unit in the discharging hospital, during transport in an ambulance vehicle between the hospital and airport, during the loading in and out of the aircraft, and during the hand over of the patient at the receiving hospital. In addition there is a need for a flexible adapter that can fix the infection isolation unit with the above-mentioned equipment to different types of ambulance vehicle stretchers during transport from the airport to the hospital and vice versa.
