The service provides inpatient beds, specialist palliative care services which includes outpatients and in reach to the acute trust as well as support to local care homes, a fast track home care service, a lymphoedema clinic, therapy and counselling services, and an out of hours telephone support line. The service provides care to adult patients and support to their families. The focus of the service is to improve the quality of care for patients at the end of their life with the aim of ensuring that patients have the optimum quality of life until death. NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB is intending to award a contract an existing provider following direct award process C of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
