This funding enables a flexible programme of support, tailored to the needs and opportunities of the local business community. This requirement shall be divided into a number of Lots based on different specialisms. A Lot 1: Business Development West Lothian Council has funding to deliver enhanced Business Gateway services in West Lothian. This funding enables a flexible programme of support, tailored to the needs and opportunities of the local business community. A core objective of Business Gateway West Lothian is to provide specialist consultancy and training to help businesses strengthen workforce skills, improve performance, and achieve sustainable growth. This support is specifically designed to address gaps in provision for SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises that have fewer than 250 employees and a certain threshold of revenue or assets.) and microbusinesses (have fewer than 10 employees). The programme will complement existing Business Gateway activity by: Expanding the range of specialist consultancy support available to growth-focused businesses; and Delivering additional training, workshops, webinars, and online content to build business capability.
