Description

Condition assessment surveys (using untethered survey technology) of existing trunkmains from Ballymore Eustace Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to Saggart to determine risk to supply for 830,000 customers in the GDA. Lot 1: Condition assessment surveys are required to be carried out on the full length of the prestressed concrete main (25km) and the steel sections of the aqueduct (9km). The surveys must include the use of in pipe, untethered survey technology as it will not be possible to take either main out of service for the duration of the surveys. Watermains must be kept in service for the duration of the assessment, with allowance made only to facilitate Pipe Diver insertion and removal.
